Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will transfer you to accommodation that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight, depending on the time you arrive, you will have brief tour to the Rwanda museum for old architectural designs, visit the genocide and enjoy a night life of the city.

Day 2: Transfer to Kahuzi Beiga National Park

Morning breakfast after which we will to Kahuzi Beiga home to the lowland gorillas, passing  through the Nyanza province, it is the old structural design of the Rwandan kingdom, we will visit the museum and proceed to the national park arriving for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Relaxation

Morning breakfast after which we will transfer to the park headquarters for a morning briefing, it takes 2 – 4 hours tracking gorillas, these differ from the highland gorillas by their distinctive features, they are said to be much larger than the ones that live in the forest and with bigger families, we will return to meet our guide for lunch and an optional afternoon of relaxation, or visit Bukavu town or the Tshibati waterfall returning for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 4: Transfer to Bukima – Virunga National Park

Following an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the Bukima town, the back drop of the nearby town is amazing as you will encounter a vast ecosystem of a bio diverse encounter, the Virunga national park is home to the mountain gorilla species, it roams freely within the park without being captivated, dinner and staying overnight at.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Relaxation

Early morning breakfast, after which we will transfer to the park center for Mountain gorillas, explore through the park in search of the primate species, you will be lead through by an experienced guide, it takes 2 or more hours doing the activity depending on how far the gorilla families have moved. Gorillas are herbivorous in nature and love to feed on the many plant species, fruits and sometimes mushrooms, an hour is allowed while with the Mountain gorillas and return to meet your guide for a relaxed evening around the lodge.

Day 6: Hiking Mountain Nyirangongo

Following an early morning breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters by 7:00am, crossing the border with the help of our guide to assist you check in, at the tourism office, start the hike after a morning briefing, it takes +/-6 hours’ time to reach the summit, time taken depends on the speed of the last person, the trail through the forested area is adventurous, you will have the chance to see the glowing glaze of the mountain, spending the night the Summit

Day 7: Descend the Mountain and Departure

On this day we will descend the volcano, meeting our guide at the border who will transfer you to Kigali international airport for your international flight back home.
